Daw Khin Moe Nyunt

Daw Khin Moe Nyunt is the Co-Founder of IGE Group and an Honorable Director responsible for many of IGE Group’s shared value initiatives and charitable activities. She also holds Honorable Director positions at United Amara Bank and The Amara Hotel Co., Ltd. Additionally, Daw Khin Moe Nyunt is the Founder and Chairwoman of IGE Group’s foundation. In these roles, Daw Khin Moe Nyunt aims to set an example for generous and open-hearted works across the Group. Daw Khin Moe Nyunt has a long record of philanthropic contributions, especially in the area of children’s care and education. As a young woman, she initiated a program to identify outstanding students from impoverished backgrounds and collect funds to send them abroad for further study. She then turned her attention to Yangon’s Monastic Education Centre, which provides room, board, education, and healthcare to orphaned children, many from conflict areas in Myanmar. Under her guidance, IGE Group has consistently provided support to the Centre, including constructing a five-story building to provide accommodation for more than 200 children and outfitting it with beds, storage, and other facilities based on international standards for children’s homes.

Daw Khin Moe Nyunt also helped coordinate IGE Group’s disaster relief efforts in the wake of Cyclone Nargis in 2008.Under her stewardship IGE donated 500 tractors to rice farmers in devastated areas of Ayeyarwaddy division to restore their livelihoods. Outside of IGE Group, Daw Khin Moe Nyunt is an active member of the Myanmar Women Entrepreneurs’ Association (MWEA) and the Myanmar Women’s Affair Federation (MWAF), where she supported poverty alleviation and micro-finance programs. In 2006, she also participated in the poverty alleviation workshop for women held in Cambodia.

Daw Khin Moe Nyunt graduated from Yangon University with a BSc in Botany. She also earned an MBA and a Master’s Degree in Development Studies from the Yangon Institute of Economics. She obtained the MBA (Banking & Finance), Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) and Bangor University, UK. She is awarded 3rd for Applied Business Projects Award 2018–2019 from Bangor University, UK. Moreover, Daw Khin Moe Nyunt also completed Directors Certification Program (DCP) from Myanmar Institute of Director (MIOD) in 2019.
