Daw Aye Thandar

Daw Aye Thandar currently holds the role of Myanmar Rice Trading Co., Ltd. (MRT) Chief Executive Officer, where she is responsible for overseeing all operations, including manufacturing, budgeting, logistics, and business development. She has special expertise in ensuring the proper permitting for MRT’s operations, such as in extraction and exporting. A longstanding employee, Daw Aye Thandar first joined MRT in 2000 as an Assistant Manager. Over the past fifteen years she has risen through the ranks to her current position, obtaining a comprehensive understanding of the business. Before joining MRT, Daw Aye Thandar began her career as an Executive Assistant to the Managing Director of Tindex International, a garment manufacturer. Daw Aye Thandar holds a BS in Mathematics and Business Law from Yangon University as well as an MBA from the Yangon Institute of Economics.
