Learning and Development
According to our Chairman Message in quotes "As much as we want to develop our businesses, we will be investing in our people by providing continuous trainings from board level till down and bringing in subject matter experts on board, when and where necessary", we are investing and encouraging our people development with 70-20-10 Model. We have developed competencies framework to identify technical and skill gaps in our employees. We encourage our head of department to provide necessary coaching and mentoring to subordinates. We create a program named Tea-Time-Talk which help our employees to learn experience and morale of our leaders from social activities. We also build educational partnership with Strategy First University by supporting our employees with a chance to study with reasonable price.

Young Generation Scholarship Program
IGE Group launched Young Generation Scholarship Program in 2011 with the objectives of developing and supporting the dream of young talents who were outstanding in their matriculation exam and sustaining talented young generation as part of succession planning for key roles of senior management positions with long-term business sustainability and development vision. Starting from 2016, the program was updated to offer to the immediate son and daughters of IGE’s employees majorly by supporting as special care programs for our employees remaining the same objectives as when we launched. IGE Group takes fully responsible for all tuition fees and expenses of the students within their study period in overseas.
Thinzar Su Naing is selected as 1st Batch scholarship candidate of Young Generation Scholarship Program in 2011. She studied at Singapore Poly first and then studied Bachelor of Science (Honours) Information Systems and Management, University of London, at Singapore Institute of Management. She was graduated since 2018 and currently she is working as IT support engineer at one of the Logistics Companies in Singapore.
Thaw Zin Lynn who is originally was selected as candidate of Young Generation Scholarship Program (2nd Batch) in 2012. He studied Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) at University Technology PETRONAS, Malaysia. He graduated in 2018 and started joining as Assistant Manager in Corporate Strategy Department of IGE Group. Because of his outstanding performance, quick learning and adaptable behaviour, he is assigned to facilitate and suggest in developing business strategy for Power and Energy business sectors mainly.
Ingyin Nyunt was also selected as scholarship candidate (2nd Batch) in 2012. She studied Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Honours) at University Technology PETRONAS, Malaysia. She well performed and committed to achieve high results in every year throughout her academic life. She graduated in 2018 and started working as Assistant Manager in Corporate Strategy Department of IGE Group. She is hardworking and always willing to help others as she can. She is also appreciated on her high performance with proven results.
Shuune Lei Win was selected as scholarship candidates (2nd Batch) on her outstanding results in matriculation exam in 2012. She studied at Singapore Poly and then successfully selected as Top Students based on her high scores to attend Nangyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. She studied Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical). Throughout her study period, she can prove herself as top talents with high commitment and enthusiastic behaviour with high achievements. She is graduated in 2019 and currently working as Management Trainee in procurement department of IGE Energy Co., Ltd.
Kay Phoo Thaw Naing was selected as 3rd Batch of Young Generation Scholarship Program in 2013. She studied Diploma in Information Technology in KMD Education Centre, Yangon until 2015. Then she worked as Intern at United Amara Bank. Then she continued her Bachelor of Information Technology at James Cook University, Singapore in 2016. She is graduated in Feb, 2020 and currently working as Management Trainee in Corporate Strategy Department of IGE Group
Min Nay Yee was selected as scholarship candidate (4th batch) in 2015. Min Nay Yee is the daughter of U Min Nay who was full-time consultant in IGE Group. She has graduated with Higher Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management from MDIS university, Singapore. She has also worked as Intern in Exo travel for 6 months in event department. With her willingness to learn and help others, her intern’s performance is recognized and appreciated. Currently she is studying Bachelor of Science (Hon:) in International Tourism and Hospitality Management. When she graduated, she will become part of Amara Hotels Group’s family members in IGE Group
Kaung Sitt Thu, son of Daw Soe Soe Aye who works as Assistant Manager in Logistics Department of IGE Power Co., Ltd, was selected as scholarship candidate (5th Batch) in 2017. He studied Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at Singapore Polytechnic and graduated in Mar, 2020.
Lu Yee Aye Naing was selected as scholarship candidates in 2017. She finished her Diploma in Management Studies at MDIS University, Singapore and current she is studying her Bachelor of Science (Hons) in banking and finance, Bangor University (UK) at MDIS University
Lwin Yadanar Oo was selected as scholarship candidates in 2017. She finished her Diploma in Management Studies at MDIS University, Singapore and current she is studying her Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Business Studies and Finance, Bangor University (UK) at MDIS University.
Wai Naing Tun was selected as local scholarship candidates in 2012. He studied Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical at Technological University, Hmawbi. He is graduated in 2017 and is qualified for Master Degree. In order to learn operation first, he started join as interns for 6 months as IGE Energy Co., Ltd and currently he is working as Junior Engineer of Engineering Department, IGE Energy Co., Ltd since 2018.
Education grant for employees' children
IGE has supported fund for the education to its employees' children started from 2017. The fund support covers for distance studies, Matriculation students, Day students and Master studies.

Being a diversified business, we welcome students from different universities to work as intern in our business units. The main purposes of welcoming intern to help the students to understand experience of working and to learn technical needs for their future career. We monitor their performance, progress and result carefully. We record the best performer students and also offer job opportunities after their graduation. We have internship partnership with National Management University, Yangon University of Economics and Government Technological Universities.
